We’re Hiring a Copywriting Intern.

You want to participate in building a great company. Find meaning in what you do. And enjoy the people you work with.

Well then. We’re so glad you found us.

We’re The Essential Hotelier.

Our Big Why is simple. We strive to use our creativity as a force for good.

We do this by helping one-of-a-kind hotels clarify their message, so they can simplify their marketing and create demand for their hotel.

The hotels we work with are mission-driven. This means they not only care deeply about travel and hospitality, but they believe their destination should make a positive social impact in the world.

That’s why, the hotels we work with are built sustainably. They support local schools. They run environmental stewardship programs. They get involved in wildlife conservation. And they dedicate themselves to providing meaningful work opportunities to local people in remote communities.

We’re so grateful to be a part of their story. And we hope you’ll join us in creating an even brighter future for sustainable travel.

Copywriting Intern

We’re looking to add one person to join The Essential Hotelier team for a Part-Time, 3-Month Internship.

We’re always looking for talent. And it’s time we added a copywriting intern to our team who is dedicated to helping us deliver 2 things:

Could this be you?

What will you help accomplish?

You’ll support The Essential Hotelier Team and a roster of great hospitality clients.

What will you do?

You’ll help us deliver 2 things:

Our Brand Management Service.

At The Essential Hotelier, we believe that every hotel has a unique point of view. A distinct reason for being. Our job is to help our clients express that point of view through different digital and print sales tools: Typically email campaigns, blog series, and website landing pages. So you’ll work with the team to help us produce these.

It involves discovering and sharing compelling stories. Finding the right angle. And lots of writing. This is a real brand management bootcamp where you get to own your writing portfolio.

Our Flagship Service, The Strategic Message Intensive.

It’s a process we’ve developed to help our hospitality clients uncover what really makes them unique. It involves research. Problem-solving. Connecting-the-dots. And lots of fine-tuning ideas. It’s a real creativity bootcamp where you’ll get to see how we develop a solid, strategic message for our clients.

Learn more about the Strategic Message Intensive here.

Along the way, we’ll introduce you to the tools we use to solve creative problems —like sprints, brainstorming sessions, and behavioural science frameworks.

We do this together as a hybrid team, so you will also hone your digital skills and become hybrid work ready.

You’ll work on real client projects, supporting our small team and a roster of sustainable luxury hotels. You’ll work on a dedicated portfolio of projects so that you can go deep and hone your creative problem-solving, writing and digital skills.

And if you’re interested in learning more about different facets of the business (like Strategy, Consulting, or Business Development), we are open to helping you shape a learning experience that is as multifaceted as you.

Our Mission

We help mission-driven hotels clarify their message, so they can simplify their marketing and create demand for their hotel.
